Family Involvement at Jemez Day School

Our school community is preparing our Pueblo community’s future leaders with our families’ help. Jemez Day School encourages parents/guardians to participate in our collaborative learning environment, recognizing that family involvement is integral to student progress.

Parents/guardians are the first teachers of a student, whether teaching them to count or their native Towa language. Our educational program provides opportunities for families to stay involved in their child’s learning process. Jemez Day School provides familial resources and aids to equip parents and students with the tools for success. Each student’s educational needs are met by utilizing the available resources inside and outside the classroom.

Clear and consistent communication between families and teachers ensures student achievement. Teachers, specialists, and administrators work hard to facilitate and improve the school-student-parent relationship. This includes regularly tracking and discussing student progress.

Parents/guardians, teachers, and students form strong support systems that help advance the student's overall development. Our caring and tight-knit school community gives students the best chance to succeed. We appreciate our parents'/guardians’ efforts to help us maintain a caring, welcoming, and safe environment.
