Jemez Day School Library

Jemez Day School Library is our central space for study, research, and information gathering. Eagles are introduced to new worlds and new subject matters each time they visit. Classes are held in our library to develop lifelong learning habits, cognitive skills, and global awareness. Staff and teachers guide students through independent and community learning opportunities as students explore diverse reading materials and electronic media devices.

Outside the classrooms, the library is the best resource for Pueblo students to improve their language and cultural education. Our library is an orderly and respectful room for students to seek knowledge in peace. We are proud to maintain an organized library environment for students, teachers, and families to visit and enjoy.

Each classroom has its own class library. However, sometimes the library is used for small groups. Students must observe the following rules when using the library: 

• Bring all materials you need before you enter.
• Do not bring food or drinks.
• Do not leave the library during class hours without permission.
• Keep voices down.
• No running or horseplay.
• Keep the premises clean.
• Return books to designated areas for proper reshelving.
• Do not remove reference materials, magazines, or newspapers.
