Transportation Information for Jemez Day School
Riding the school bus is a privilege for students who model good behavior.
Jemez Day School provides 2 buses for daily service. The bus stops at designated locations only. Students must follow all school bus rules and procedures to ensure the safety of all riders. Unacceptable behavior and violation of the bus rules may result in restrictions or suspension of bus privileges. If bus privileges are suspended for more than five days, students can appeal the suspension in accordance with the appeal process (see Right to Appeal).

Buses are assigned at maximum capacity. As a result, changing buses is not possible.
Transportation Cancellation Due to Inclement Weather
In the event of a school delay or cancellation, Remind generates automated messages. Please ensure that you have the Remind App on your phone to get timely information.

Bus/Transportation Rules
To retain bus riding privileges, students will observe the following rules:
- Be on time.
- Have respect for others and for the driver.
- Remain in your seat.
- For safety, keep the aisle and exits clear.
- Be courteous. Never use foul language or obscene gestures.
- Remain seated at all times.
- Keep all body parts inside the bus.
- Use of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs is prohibited.
- No food or drinks on the bus.
- Do not damage any part of the bus; you and your parents/guardians are responsible for repairs.
- For your own safety, do not distract the driver.
- Listen to the bus driver.
