Transportation Information for Jemez Day School
We value the safety and well-being of our students while traveling to and from school. Please review the following information carefully, as it provides essential details that will help facilitate a smooth transportation experience for everyone involved. Emergency Dismissal, School Delays or Cancellations
Busses will transport children home in the event of an emergency (such as a water or electrical outage, hefty snow, etc.) that requires early dismissal. School personnel will make every attempt to contact parents by phone. Therefore, the school's current contact information must be on file. Please immediately notify the school of any changes in your contact information.
School administration will make the final decision regarding any school closures or delays. Notices regarding closure/delay will be posted at the school building and cafeteria entrance.

Bus/Transportation Rules
- Follow directions the first time they are given.
- Keep all parts of your body (and all objects) inside the bus.
- Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
- Stay in your seat with your feet on the floor while the bus is in motion.
- No cursing, swearing, or loud talking.
- No pushing, shoving, or fighting.
- Sit in your assigned seat.
- Do not lean out of the window.
- Do not eat or drink on the bus.
- Keep all harmful objects (drugs, tobacco, alcohol, weapons) off the bus.
- No littering, writing on, or damaging the bus in any way.
- Do not use rude gestures or tease anyone on the bus.
- Be ready and wait for the bus.
- Do not bring animals on the bus.
- Science projects, boards, glass, or balloons are not allowed on the bus.
